Bio

David Cullen is a Grammy Award–winning guitarist known for his virtuosity and versatility across jazz, classical, folk, and world music traditions. Praised for his innovative fingerstyle technique and expressive range, Cullen’s playing has captivated audiences from concert halls to international festivals.

He has performed and recorded with some of the most respected names in music, including Will Ackerman, Samite, Michael Manring, Victor Wooten, Tracy Silverman, Darol Anger, and The DePue Brothers Band. His orchestral appearances include The Jaco Big Band, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, and The Philly Pops. He was also a featured soloist at the New York Guitar Festival at the 92nd Street Y.

In addition to his performance career, Cullen has been a dedicated educator. He served for 20 years as Artist-in-Residence at  Elizabethtown College and  as Instructor of Guitar at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where he taught classical and jazz guitar. Through his decades of teaching, he has mentored countless students, sharing not only his technical mastery but also his deep passion for the instrument.

David Cullen continues to inspire audiences and students alike with a musical voice that is as refined as it is adventurous.
