Bio

Joe Nero is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he now serves on the faculty. Widely respected for his versatility, Joe has built a dynamic career as a drummer and percussionist across the tri-state area, performing in nearly every major theater and showroom in both Philadelphia and Atlantic City.

His touring credits span the globe and include performances with an eclectic lineup of artists such as Bette Midler, Burt Bacharach, Bernadette Peters, Andy Williams, Anthony Newley, Bobby Rydell, and Frankie Avalon. In the jazz world, he has played alongside legends like Tony Bennett, Eddie Gomez, Bill Watrous, Kurt Elling, Jimmy Bruno, and Larry McKenna. His recording work includes sessions for Sony, Philly International, and Atlantic Records.

Joe currently performs with the No Name Pops Orchestra and the No Name Pops Big Band, while remaining an active figure in the jazz and commercial music scenes.
